Who is a Credo Bank account suitable for?
A personal Credo Bank account may be suitable for international professionals, entrepreneurs, remote workers, and clients who need access to banking services in Georgia without travelling to the country.
The client receives a personal multi-currency account, access to the MyCredo mobile application, international transfers, and a digital bank card.
How does the process work?
- Complete the applicationProvide your personal information, passport details, country of residence, contact information, occupation, source of income, and expected account activity.
- Prepare the power of attorneymono provides the required power-of-attorney text and instructions. You must have the document notarized and, where required, apostilled or legalized in your country. The original power of attorney must then be sent by courier to Georgia.
- Application submissionOnce the original power of attorney has arrived in Georgia, the authorized representative submits the account application to Credo Bank on your behalf.
- Bank reviewCredo Bank reviews the application. Communication with the bank takes place through its general customer support. During the review, the bank may ask additional questions or request documents confirming your occupation, business activity, income, source of funds, residential address, or intended use of the account.
- Approval and account activationIf the application is approved, the authorized representative signs the required banking documents and activates the account on your behalf.
- Access to banking servicesAfter activation, you receive access to the MyCredo mobile application and a digital bank card. All further communication and banking matters are handled directly with Credo Bank through its general customer support and mobile application. A physical bank card is not provided as part of the remote account-opening service.
What documents may be required?
A valid passport, personal information, and a notarized power of attorney are required to begin the process. Depending on the client’s profile, Credo Bank may also request:
- proof of residential address;
- information about employment or business activity;
- contracts, invoices, or other evidence of income;
- personal or business bank statements;
- documents confirming the source of funds;
- an explanation of the intended account activity;
- additional documents required by the bank’s compliance department.
The exact list of documents is determined by Credo Bank after reviewing the application.

How long does it take?
The process begins after the required information has been provided and the original power of attorney has arrived in Georgia. The total timeframe depends on document delivery, the bank’s review, and whether additional information is requested. mono cannot guarantee a specific approval date because the application is reviewed according to Credo Bank’s internal compliance procedures.
Is account approval guaranteed?
No. mono prepares the application, organizes submission through the authorized representative, and supports the process, but the final decision is made solely by Credo Bank. Payment for mono’s services does not guarantee account approval.
